What is The Purpose of Our Organization?
The single biggest problem in the Indigenous Reserve is the lack of income, mainly due to the lack of employment opportunities outside of the “traditional” work on the banana plantations. Thus, new solutions are required.
Through the Indigenous Adventures approach it becomes possible to provide the opportunity to stimulate and develop new homegrown industries and revive traditional ones. The goal is to establish solid cottage-industry models using the experience and knowledge that is locally available.
Furthermore we strive to help preserve the Bribri and Cabekar cultural heritage as well as revive ancient customs which are in imminent danger of being lost.
